DVD Releases for Week of 5/22/2012

I am a BAD reviewer! Well, let me restate that - I am a BAD poster! I will try and get better - I have recently accepted a new job as CEO of Specialty Retail & Auctions, LLC - so it has been rather crazy! But - it's catch up time! As always - click on the link to view the trailer!

'Woman in Black' - Daniel Radcliffe is far from Harry Potter in this gothic tale of horror that is traditional but very spooky along the way! Radcliffe is excellent in one of his first post Potter roles and proves himself worthy!

'This Means War' - Two highly trained CIA agents (Chris Pine & Tom Hardy) are inseparable best friends who happen to be in love with the same woman (Reese Witherspoon). While a typical McG film (lots of high tech action pumped up with loud music) - the film borderlines on down right creepy and somewhat demeaning. That being said - it is a perfect Redbox $1.20 rental!

'The Secret World of Arrietty' - Ground breaking animator Hiromasa Yonebayashi brings the tale of 'The Borrowers' to life in full glory. Visually lush with a very entertaining story, this is a must purchase for the kids (and adults alike).

'Red Tails' - The very generic story of the Tuskegee Airman, who overcame racism and bigotry to fly fighter planes in World War II. There doesn't seem to be a movie these days that George Lucas can somehow make boring.

'Chronicle' - Three high school students stumble upon a discovery that gives them incredible powers. Everything that was great about season one of the canceled series 'Heros' is great in 'Chronicle' - filled with more wonder and entertainment than most of the 'superhero' movies out today. This is a perfect summer night rental!

'The Grey' - Ok - if I get kidnapped, I wan Liam Neeson to come find me! Now, with 'The Grey' - I want him to be there when I am lost too! Taunt, effective and downright blood pounding, 'The Grey' is as good as a survival movie you will ever see!
