On Mentorship

colossians-4-5-6-2.jpg

'Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.' Colossians 4:5 - 6

See? Even the Bible talks about Networking! Now in the biblical sense, this passage is meant to illustrate how, as Christians, we should be spreading the Gospel.

And while I believe this with all my heart, I can see how we can take this as a message about networking.

This passage talks about wisdom and sharing your knowledge with others. It speaks of treating 'outsiders' or strangers with respect and honor. It talks about 'seasoning' your conversations with 'grace' and 'salt'. This is what networking is about. Not bullying, shaming or slamming others because they have different views.

It's about Sharing. Mentoring. Learning. And most of all FELLOWSHIP.

So, my fellow LinkedIn connections, my challenge to you all is to reach out to those in your networks and connect.

I mean really connect. Starting building relationships. Building fellowships. Share!

Spread the good news. The good news is that we are all here on this planet together to live a life in service to each other.
